I think I might have a problem…
Wednesday, December 31st, 2008Ok, so it’s like quarter til 1 and I’m still not in bed even though I have to work tomorrow and we’ll probably be crazy busy with people hauling pork and sour kraut out the door by the cart loads. You might think I would be sleeping, but no I’m on the computer researching. No I’m not researching for school or anything like that… I’m researching for Christmas 2009. Yes, It’s official I have shiny, blinky, flashy disorder. I’m completely hooked on computer controlled Christmas light shows. In preparation for next year, my loving wife went several places the day after Christmas and picked up like 50+ boxes of lights 50% off (even some LED’s, I can hardly contain myself). Prior to that I got 14 more strings of icicle lights and 20 strings of white lights at Lowes at 50% off before Christmas. We have plans for some things we want to add for next year, but most exciting of all to me is I am planning to build three Renard-24 controllers for a total of 72 channels. The main purpose is to control the two leaping arches I want to build, but since the parts are so cheap, figure I might as well put the rest of the display on a controller as well. Hmmm… Starting to wonder if I should get parts for 4 controllers…. Better do some math on that one first. Yes, I definitely think I might have a problem…
